Zoe Twin+ V1 Review: The Best Double Stroller for Traveling With Toddlers

Two kids in a Zoe Twin+ V1 stroller sit in front of Cinderella’s Castle at Disney World’s Magic Kingdom. One child looks off to the side while the other sits contently, with the stroller tray holding snacks and sippy cups.
For our Disney World trips, this stroller is a game-changer—lightweight, compact, and comfy.

Planning a big trip with two little kids? You’ll want a stroller that works as hard as you do. After years of traveling through airports, theme parks, cruise ships, and old-world cities with toddlers, the Zoe Twin+ V1 earned its place as one of our most-used travel essentials.

This review dives into every detail: why I ditched the BOB for it, how it handles airplane logistics, what it’s like at Disney, and how it holds up on uneven sidewalks and cobblestones. I’ll also share why it worked so well for my family, especially when I was the only adult managing two kids, bags, and a stroller by myself.

If you’re comparing models, I’ve since reviewed the newer Zoe Twin+ V2 and written a detailed V1 vs V2 comparison based on real travel experience with both.

This post isn’t sponsored, but I am a Zoe Ambassador. I purchased my original Zoe Twin V1 myself and used it for years. If you choose to buy using my link, you’ll get $15 off most Zoe stroller purchases. Thank you for supporting these real-parent reviews.

Why I Bought the Zoe Twin+ V1 (and Ditching the BOB)

Baby seated in a gray double stroller at a dining table onboard Freedom of the Seas, holding a sippy cup and eating a snack.
The Zoe Twin+ V1 even worked perfectly aboard Royal Caribbean’s Freedom of the Seas. Here, my daughter is pulled right up to the table at Sorrento’s, stroller and all.

When my daughter was born, I had big dreams of becoming a jogging mom. I bought the BOB Duallie thinking we’d cruise through the neighborhood in sporty, endorphin-filled bliss.

Spoiler: I did not jog. At all. And the BOB, while great for trails, was comically heavy—a total no-go for airline travel, especially since my husband’s airline has strict stroller weight rules for gate-checking.

What I really needed was something I could manage on my own when I needed to: lightweight enough to gate check, compact enough to maneuver through airports with a toddler and baby, and still functional enough to actually use at our destination.

So I turned to my community of pilot wives, women who know exactly what it’s like to juggle travel days with kids, strollers, bags, and limited extra hands. Over and over again, they recommended the same thing: the Zoe Twin+.

The First Spin—and Instant Upgrade

Two small children nap in a Zoe Twin+ V1 stroller on a sidewalk in London, with Big Ben towering in the background. Their heads tilt toward each other as they sleep, surrounded by light tourist foot traffic. The perfect scene for a Zoe Twin+ V1 review.
The Zoe Twin+ V1 is the perfect spot for snoozing straight through all of London’s top sights—Big Ben included.

I hadn’t planned on spending more money on another high-end stroller, especially one I thought I’d only use for travel. But I trusted the recommendation and took the plunge.

We brought the Zoe Twin+ V1 to our local children’s museum for its first real outing. And within minutes, I knew: this wasn’t just a travel stroller. This was the stroller.

I sold the BOB the next week.

From that day on, the Zoe Twin+ became our everyday go-to—not just something we pulled out for trips.

Why the Zoe Twin+ V1 Works for Real Life (and Real Travel)

Two toddlers sit in a double stroller on a cobblestone path beside a canal in Bruges, with pink flowers in bloom and mist hanging over the water. A peaceful early morning scene in the city.
This stroller has worked for us in cities all over the world—here are the kids riding in the Zoe Twin+ V1 while exploring the old cobblestone streets of Bruges.

Once I realized this stroller was going to be our everyday ride, not just a travel backup, I went all in. I added the All-Terrain Wheels to handle our uneven sidewalks and the gravel paths at the park. And I grabbed the snack tray because, let’s be real, my kids are always snacking—especially on long walks or while waiting around at places like Disney World.

It’s handled everything we’ve thrown at it ever since: daily walks, playground treks, store runs, theme parks, dirt, grass, cobblestones—you name it.

But where it really proves itself? Travel days.

My Airport Setup: Two Kids, One Stroller, and Carry-On Only

A gray double stroller, a rolling suitcase, and a backpack stand at an airport check-in kiosk. A young boy wearing a red Cars T-shirt stands beside them, looking down.
This is our full travel setup: the Zoe Twin+ V1 stroller, a carry-on suitcase, and one backpack—everything we need for smooth family travel, all compact and ready to roll.

When I travel with the kids, I usually travel light: one spinner suitcase, one backpack, two kids, and the Zoe Twin+.

This stroller is the only reason that combo works. The full-length push bar is the exact height I need to hold onto both the stroller and my spinner suitcase handle at once—so I can push them together in one smooth motion. Add my backpack to the mix and both kids riding comfortably, and I’m still totally mobile.

You can see exactly what that looks like in action in this video:

One-Hand Fold While Holding a Toddler? Yep.

This is one of the biggest reasons love this stroller for travel days, especially when I’m the only adult.

The Zoe Twin+ V1 folds down quickly and easily with one hand—which means I can close it while holding my daughter on my hip. No extra hands or juggling required.

Travel-Tested: Where This Stroller Has Been

A woman and two young children sit on blue seats of a Disney bus next to a parked double stroller, which is folded in the designated stroller area.
A quick candid from the Disney bus — kids on my lap, Zoe Twin+ V1 folded at our feet. Easy to collapse, light to carry, and totally bus-friendly.

We’ve taken the Zoe Twin+ V1 everywhere: through airport terminals on, onto Disney and Royal Caribbean cruises, through the crowds at Disney World, and down cobblestone streets in cities like Bruges, Hamburg, and Cascais.

It’s been with us in the thick of real-life parenting moments: naptime meltdowns, character meet-and-greets, bathroom emergencies, and buffet lines with both kids tucked into the stroller and a tray of food balanced on top like a high-stakes game of Jenga. Through it all, the stroller has held up without complaint. And despite being six feet tall, I’ve never found it uncomfortable to push—even after long travel days.

The Small Stuff I’d Change

To be honest? Not much.

It doesn’t work with infant car seats (so it’s not a newborn option). If that’s a dealbreaker, the newer Zoe Twin+ V2 does support an infant car seat attachment—a major upgrade if you’re shopping for something to use from day one.

And, it’s not as featherlight as some singles. But it’s a double, so that’s a given.

Nothing else has ever really bugged me.

Should You Buy the Zoe Twin+ V1 Travel Stroller?

A double stroller is parked on a cobblestone sidewalk in a quiet European neighborhood, illustrating the stroller accessibility of charming pedestrian areas in Portugal.
Parked on a cobblestone sidewalk in Cascais, Portugal—the Zoe Twin+ V1 handled narrow streets and bumpy paths like a pro.

If you want one double stroller that can handle travel days, Disney trips, cruises, city sidewalks, and everyday use, I truly can’t recommend the Zoe Twin+ V1 enough.

It’s smart, stylish, and so parent-friendly. You can push it one-handed, fold it while holding a child, fly with it, cruise with it, and use it every day without breaking your back or your budget.

This stroller has been my sanity on long days, travel hiccups, and so many “how am I going to manage this with two kids?” moments.

While I’ve recently started using the Zoe Twin+ V2 and will share a full review once I’ve really tested it, the V1 has already earned its forever spot in our family’s travel memories.
