If you’re visiting Animal Kingdom with a stroller, it helps to know where you’re actually allowed to park it before you’re standing outside a ride or show trying to figure it out.

Strollers aren’t allowed in most attraction lines, indoor theaters, or table service restaurants. And because Animal Kingdom has winding paths, crowded walkways, and a lot of shows and animal trails mixed in with the rides, stroller parking is not always obvious in the moment.

That’s why I made this Animal Kingdom stroller parking map. I wanted something simple and easy to reference, whether you’re planning ahead, heading straight for Pandora, or trying to make it to Festival of the Lion King before everyone hits their limit.

Note: If you are riding Kilimanjaro Safaris, you can bring your stroller into the queue. A Cast Member will take the stroller from you before boarding and place it in this stroller parking area.

Why Stroller Parking Matters at Animal Kingdom

Stroller parking sounds like a small detail until you’re standing outside a ride or show with kids who are ready to go, bags hanging off your shoulder, and no idea where the stroller is actually supposed to go.

Animal Kingdom is one of our favorite parks, but it can also feel more winding than the others. Between Pandora, Asia, the trails, the shows, and the paths around the Tree of Life, you may end up walking more than you expect.

And if you’re arriving for Early Theme Park Entry, there’s a good chance you’re heading straight for one of the most popular rides, like Avatar Flight of Passage. I’ve done that same rushed walk with two toddlers and a stroller, only to get all the way to the entrance and realize I didn’t know where to park it. By the time I figured it out and looped back, the line had already grown.

That’s one of the reasons I made these maps.

At Animal Kingdom, strollers usually can’t go into:

  • ride queues
  • most indoor shows and theaters
  • table service restaurants
  • some shops and quick-service spots

Having a general sense of where the stroller parking areas are can help you plan your route, avoid backtracking, and keep the day moving a little more smoothly, especially in a park with so many winding paths.

You may still need to follow signs or Cast Member directions once you’re there, since stroller parking can shift throughout the day. But knowing the main areas ahead of time makes the whole thing feel a lot less chaotic.

Animal Kingdom Stroller Parking Rules and Tips

Before you park your stroller, there are a few things worth knowing.

Use the designated stroller parking areas. You can’t park a stroller just anywhere in Animal Kingdom. If you leave it outside of an official stroller parking area, there’s a good chance a Cast Member will move it.

Know the stroller size rules. Disney strollers must be no more than 31 inches wide and 52 inches long. Most standard double strollers fit within those limits, but it’s worth measuring before your trip if you’re unsure.

Stroller wagons are not allowed. Even collapsible stroller wagons are not permitted inside Disney World theme parks.

You can rent a stroller if you need to. Disney has basic stroller rentals near the entrance to each park. If you want a stroller you can use at your resort, Disney Springs, or while traveling between parks, a third-party rental company may be a better fit.

Cast Members may move your stroller. This happens all the time, especially in busy areas. If your stroller isn’t exactly where you left it, look around the nearby stroller parking area before panicking. It was probably just shifted to make more room.

Can I rent a stroller at Animal Kingdom?

Yes. Disney rents single and double strollers near the park entrance, but those rentals are only for use inside the parks. If you want a stroller you can also use at your resort, Disney Springs, or outside the park gates, a third-party rental may be a better fit.

Stroller parking is one of those Animal Kingdom details that feels small until you’re standing outside a ride, show, or animal trail with tired kids and no idea where to leave the stroller.

Because Animal Kingdom has so many winding paths, knowing the general stroller parking areas ahead of time can make the day feel a little calmer. You may still need to follow signs or Cast Member directions once you’re there, but at least you’ll have a starting point before you’re deep in the park trying to figure it out.
